Uniform:
Girls in grades 7 - 12
must follow the following uniform policy:
All girls must wear the ISA school
uniform, which is:
- A white buttoned-down
shirt with collar
- ISA school skirt
- Black stockings and black
shoe
Items worn OVER the shirt may be: a solid black sweater with NO HOOD or the
black ISA school sweater or ISA sweatshirt
Any shirt worn UNDER the buttoned-down shirt, must be solid white,
Coats may not be worn during the school day.
Items NOT allowed:
- Clogs, sandals or slippers
- Long fingernails or fingernail polish
- Extreme hair styles
- Heavy or extreme makeup
- Dangling earrings or excessive jewelry
On field trips, teachers may allow students to
wear casual clothes. On days where the uniform is not
required
(such as a field trip), students agree to wear clothes that
are in keeping with the Islamic
traditions here at ISA.
Failure to wear the
proper uniform in school will result in disciplinary action
which includes, 1st offence: Written warning, 2nd Offence:
Notice to Parents, and 3rd Offence: Lunch Detention for
minimum of 3 days. Further offences may result in suspension
from school.
Behavior:
The
following rules are in place for the girls for grades 7 to 12
Cell Phones and
Cameras
No cell phone use during school hours
(7:45 to 3:00)
No use a camera in school, unless:
Food /
Lunchtime
Students may not be ordered without office permission.
Students may not go back to locker once they
go to the cafeteria for lunch.
At lunch, students may eat outside only if:
-
they use cafeteria doors or hallway doors by copy room go in
and out
-
clean up and throw away all trash
-
they do not disturb classes in session
Students may not not eat lunch in classrooms
unless given permission
Students must have a pass
to go to the library
Getting to Class
Students may not outside
by the gym (121 rooms) to get to a class
Students may not cross through the
auditorium to get to class
Students may not go in the boys’ school
without a teacher escort.
Leaving School
Students may not go off
the school campus during the day without permission.
Students may not not use the doors by the
senior lockers to exit the building.
Students are expected to obey the security and
teachers
Cleanliness
Students may not keep open food items in their
locker
Students must keep halls and classes clean by
throwing away my trash and straightening desks when leaving
class.
Students may not write
on desks, walls or any part of the building.
Consequences to breaking the rules may include
detention, in-school suspension, out-of-school
suspension or expulsion. |
